This has been a great week at Beacon! On Tuesday, October 1st, we had Banana Split Night at our Kids Bible Club. Some fun games, a lesson from the Bible, and then banana split sundaes to complete the night! Wednesday was prayer meeting & Bible study. Our morning service is at the usual time of 10:30 AM, but in place of the evening service, we have chosen to have a service at 1:00 PM. As we met for worship this morning, we took time to remember those who fought for our freedom. War is certainly not a pleasant or enjoyable thing, but sometimes it is necessary to prevent evil from triumphing. Most of us take our liberties for granted, but those who did, and do, go to war to fight for freedom paid a high price for us…

Due to the continued freezing rain warning, we have had to cancel tonight’s Children’s Bible Club. Although it is forecasted to warm up through the evening, there is still a freezing rain warning and as of 4PM, the precipitation was said to be freezing rain.
