Another Year has Passed

Well, here we are coming to the close of another year – just a day away – the end is in sight!  As we think of the end of a year, some talk of the end of the world – just recently, there was a big deal made of the Mayan calendar’s end of the world prediction. What if the end of the world was just a day or two away? How would we live? What would we do? Though date setting causes confusion and mockery by many, the Bible does teach that this world will end one day. The Bible also says that Jesus will return, and that His return could happen anytime – no man knows the day of the hour. The question is, how would you live, if the end were in sight? Listen to this morning’s message, Living with the End in Sight, from I Peter 4:7-11, to find out what the Bible says about how we should live.

As we approach the end of one year and prepare to embark on a new one, it is a good time to evaluate our lives. One of the ways we can evaluate our lives is by looking at how we are using our time. Many of us waste a lot of time – it is very easy to do. Somebody has said that one of the only things you can’t recycle is wasted time. The fact is that time is a gift, given to us by God & we need to use it wisely. In Ephesians 5:16, along with Colossians 4:5, we are told to redeem the time. Listen to tonight’s message, Redeeming the Time, from Ephesians 5 on ways we can make the most of the time God has given us.
