The weather certainly took a turn towards fall today, but the fellowship was sweet at church.
This morning, continuing our study on the church took us back to 1 Timothy. The church is under constant pressure to change, but the Word of God instructs us to stand firm on the Word of God. In Paul’s charge to Timothy, he told him to continue what he had been left at Ephesus to do. Like Timothy, the church today must, Stay the Course, on sound doctrine.
If you are like many of us, you have a cupboard or drawer full of owner’s manuals somewhere in your home. Those manuals were designed to be read so that you would know how to operate the equipment that they came with, but often, they are only pulled out when we have a problem. In a similar way, God has given us the Bible, it is the owner’s manual for our lives and if followed would help us to lead successful, happy lives. Unfortunately, like the owner’s manuals in that cupboard or drawer, the Bible is often only pulled out when we have a problem. The sad thing is that when we leave our Bible on the shelf, we miss out on, The Benefits of Bible Study.
