Have you ever wondered why you face trials, even when you are trying to do right? We may expect difficulties when we know we have chosen a wrong path, but shouldn’t life be smooth when we are doing right? In Matthew 8:23-27, the disciples followed Jesus into the boat and soon found themselves in the midst of a great storm. They may have wondered why, but through that storm they learned some things that they couldn’t have learned without it. This was the thought of Pastor Wyatt’s sermon this morning entitled, Learning About Jesus Through The Storms Of Life.
There is no doubt that we can easily get comfortable in this life. While there is nothing wrong with some “R ‘n’ R”, God doesn’t want us to get so comfortable that we become complacent in our Christian life. In tonight’s message from Deuteronomy 8, Pastor Wyatt preached part 2 of the series, Three C’s to Beware of, about being beware of complacency.
