As we met for worship this morning, we took time to remember those who fought for our freedom. War is certainly not a pleasant or enjoyable thing, but sometimes it is necessary to prevent evil from triumphing. Most of us take our liberties for granted, but those who did, and do, go to war to fight for freedom paid a high price for us to have those liberties. Many died that we might live, and fought that we might be free – to them we say a big, Thank-you! For those who still fight for our country, we add our prayers to those thanks.
We would be remiss on this Remembrance Day, if we did not mention our great Saviour. Truly He died that we might live eternally, and extends His gracious offer of salvation to all who will receive it. Lord, thank You for your unspeakable gift!
