November 17 at Beacon

We enjoyed another day in God’s house today as we met around His Word to praise His name.

In our study of I Timothy today, we came to the end of chapter 4. Here we looked at some Biblical principles that though written to a young man who was the pastor of a church many years ago, are really just, Extraordinary Principles for Ordinary Believers. We trust the message will be a blessing to you as you listen and apply God’s Word to your life.

There are times in our life when things just don’t seem to go like we think they should. It may be an unexpected bill; a health problem; a lost job; a flat tire; something lost; getting stuck in traffic; some sort of delay or… the list of potential issues is endless. When things don’t go according to our plans we tend to get frustrated, worried, angry or upset basically because we don’t understand why. It’s often at times like this that we may open our Bibles & turn to our text & seek God, to try to make sense of what is happening. When we open our Bibles, we find that in fact it is, All According to Plan, just not ours! The Bible offers us great comfort in knowing that God has a plan for our lives, and that He is at work in our lives to fulfill His perfect purpose.
